Athletic Training Education Program

Welcome to the Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi! The program is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). Joining the company of only 15 other nationally accredited undergraduate programs in Texas, ATEP proudly serves South Texas and beyond as the only accredited ATEP south of San Antonio, TX.

Athletic Trainers are health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to optimize activity and participation of patients and clients. Athletic training encompasses the prevention, diagnosis, and intervention of emergency, acute, and chronic medical conditions involving impairment, functional limitations, and disabilities (www.nata.org).

 

 

Curriculum and Instruction news

The Athletic Training Education Program at TAMUCC is nationally accredited. Graduating from this program will allow you to sit for the national Board of Certification (BOC) exam as well as the Texas Licensure exam.
